Retreat Notes

Three shores I keep returning to

I've hosted retreats in St. Lucia, Dominica, and Costa Rica since 2024. Each one restores you in a different way. Here's how I match them to travelers.

St. Lucia: for the dramatic exhale

Nothing prepares you for the first time the Pitons come into view from the water. St. Lucia is the most cinematic island I work with: volcanic peaks straight out of the sea, warm sulphur springs, Toraille Waterfall, and boutique properties tucked into hillsides where every suite faces the water.

This is where I hosted my 2024 women's retreat, and it's where I'm returning in December 2027 for The Exhale Experience: six days, six ocean-view suites, every detail arranged. If your dream involves a hammock, a horizon, and someone else holding the itinerary, this is your island.

Dominica: for the deep quiet

Dominica calls itself the Nature Island and undersells it. Rainforest runs from the mountains straight down to the sea, waterfalls appear around corners, and the hot springs feel like they exist just for you. Our 2026 retreat was hosted on a hillside overlooking Soufriere Bay, with nature trails out the front door and the kind of silence that takes two days to get used to and two minutes to miss.

I send travelers here who are past the resort phase of life: women who want their rest wild, green, and unpolished at the edges.

Costa Rica: for the wide-open reset

Costa Rica is the biggest canvas of the three: volcano hot springs one day, cloud forest the next, Pacific beaches after that. Our 2025 retreat balanced all of it, and the photo above is what the balance looks like in practice.

It's also the easiest of the three for first-timers: direct flights, familiar comforts, and a wellness culture that runs deep. Start with my Insider's Guide to Costa Rica if you want the full picture.

Which shore is yours? Tell me how you want to feel when you get there, and I'll match you to the island, the property, and the pace.
